Research shows that the traditional icing has no effect on the
recovery of an ankle sprain. The ankle my feel better because the ice deadens the
pain but has nothing to do recovery. It is assumed the icing may reduce the swelling
but this in not the case. Although sprained ankles and ankle sprain are almost
always treated with ice, studies of professional athletes whose ankles were graded for
degree of sever stain did not show any difference when compared to athletes that received
no treatment. Goode Wraps has research slowing that the semiconductors in our wraps
reduce inflammation and swelling similar to cordizone and the pain and stiffness greatly
decreases compared to ice and no treatment.

ligament injury in the United States. Of all joints in the human body, the
ankle by far experiences the most use and sustains the most abuse. Although
ankle sprains can occur under many different circumstances, they are most
likely to occur during active participation in athletics. I don't believe in
miracles or the supernatural. And I don't read horoscopes. But I've got to
tell you that the results of my applying the Goode Wraps to my foot have
been visible, tangible, and overwhelming. An ankle

in the United States. Of all joints in the human body, the ankle by far
experiences the most use and sustains the most abuse. Although ankle sprains
can occur under many different circumstances, they are most likely to occur
during active participation in athletics. From basketball games to tennis
matches to track and field events, athletes depend on the ability of the
ankle to control balance, vertical propulsion, and forward and lateral
movement. Not surprisingly, ankle injuries are the most frequent
sport-related injuries, accounting for an estimated 30% of all such
injuries. They represent as high as 45% of all injuries in men's basketball,
and 38% of injuries for women. My wife had an ankle pain for about a
year. I did everything I could think of but nothing seemed to help. An
associate of mine told me about your wraps. I won't tell you his name
because he is afraid to tell his patients. I bought an ankle wrap for my
wife a month ago. In less than ½ an hour the pain stopped. Since then she
has been hiking and sailing. I have never seen anything like
this. I felt a sharp pain in my Achilles tendon after
stepping up to the landing where my desk is located. About an hour later
when walking the pain returned. This time it stayed and my ankle started to
swell and bruising showed just above my heel. I had a wrap I had purchased
earlier for another problem. I went home an immediately put the wrap on. The
next morning my Achilles tendon was sore but not too painful. I wore the
wrap all day and that night. The second day I felt good with just a little
pain. These wraps are great. Achilles tendonitis is a condition
wherein the Achilles Tendon, at or near its insertion to the posterior
aspect of the calcaneus, becomes inflamed and causes pain. The Achilles
Tendon is one of the longest and strongest tendons in the body. It is
avascular and therefore slow to heal. The Achilles tendon is formed in the
lower third of the posterior aspect of the tibia. Two muscles join to form
the Achilles tendon: The Gastrocnemius, which originates on the posterior
aspect of the femur, and the Soleus, which originates on the posterior
aspect of the upper third of the tibia. The Achilles tendon is an anti-pronator.
Achilles tendonitis is difficult to cure.

The cause of tendinitis usually results from microscopic tears within the
tendon and triggering an inflammatory response within the tendon. Common areas susceptible
to tendinitis are; achilles, patella, adductor longus, supraspinatus, biceps, tibialis
posterior and flexor hallucis longus tendons.
The first signs of tendinitis are usually noticed following exercise and
especially first thing in the morning. During the warm-up phase of exercise the pain
frequently disappears and only returns after the cool down period. Consequently, the
sportsperson can train through the pain in the early stages and therefore interfering with
the healing process.
The main characteristics of tendinitis injuries are tenderness,
crepitus and local swelling.
