The most
disturbing fact about plantar fasciitis is the length of time it usually takes,

The
study is the first prospective, randomized clinical trial to evaluate response to
different stretching protocols in patients who have chronic, disabling proximal plantar
fasciitis. The 8-week study involved 101 patients whose plantar fasciitis had not
responded to 10 months of conservative treatments --- wow !!!
Clinical
test in Germany using shock wave treatment on athletes who had suffered from plantar
fasciitis for more than 12 months showed some improvement after and additional six months
of three times a week shock treatment.

Myofascial trigger points are almost always the cause of pain in the lower legs,
ankles and feet. They are tiny contraction knots in overworked or poorly conditioned
muscles. Trigger points are shortened muscle fibers in hypersensitive areas of
generally located in the middle of the muscle or at its attachments. A
trigger point is a small knot or contraction in a muscle. This knot can usually be
felt as a small as a pea or as big as a thumb. It is usually buried deep in the
muscle. Pain in the ankle joints or feet can be nothing more serious
than referred pain from myofascial trigger points located in the calf. These
trigger points can refer pain (make pain appear in) by shorten the overall length of the
muscle and occur in areas far away from the actual pain site.

This is the most common injury if you suffer from
