BACK PAIN, LUMBAGO, BACK ACHE, SCIATICA, SYATICA

back pain from sciatica or bursitis and lumbage can cause lumbosasral and  scrariolias, back pain, back hurts back ache, and stiffness

Goode Wraps Relieve Pain, Swelling and Stiffness by Relaxing Muscles - Trigger Points

Myofascial Trigger Points in the back, shoulders or buttocks cause some controversy over just what is the pain, but most would agree that it is something in the muscle.  A trigger point is a small contraction knot in a muscle. This knot can be as small as a pea or as big as a thumb.  It is buried deep in the muscle  Have you ever felt a sudden stab of pain in your back that leaves you immobilized?  There are numerous muscles in the back and any one of these muscles can develop myofascial trigger points that refer pain and other distressing symptoms usually to a remote location. The nerve fibers that transmit information to the brain are known as sensory nerve fibers.  There are patient in whom the upper lumbar spinal nerves are involved, in which case pain may be felt in the upper thigh, groin or even the lower part of the abdomen.  Though the general organs served by low sacral spinal or labial pain whose organ is one of upper lumbar spinal nerves.  " In spite of this," the muscles receive little attention in modern medical school teaching and medical textbooks".   Welcome to the club.  About 31 million Americans hurt their backs each year.  In fact, the annual health care cost for back pain is estimated to be as high as $24 billion, with additional billions in lost workdays.

Fortunately, back injuries are not usually serious, about 70 to 90 percent of them are caused by muscle or ligament strain, often stemming from weakness in the lower back.  Although many people are afraid to workout after they’ve "wrenched" their backs, regular exercise is the best defense against re-injury.  Goode Wraps relax muscles and tendons.  Our HexTapes can be applied directly to the trigger points

Bed rest for sciatica is just a waste of time

February 23, 1999

Add sciatica to the sorts of back pain that shouldn't keep you in bed.

A week or two in bed used to be routine treatment for any sort of aching back. But over the past 15 years, doctors have learned that many types of backaches get better just as fast if people go about their normal activities.

Until now, that hadn't been tested with pain from the sciatic nerve -- pain that's usually limited to the buttocks and thigh but sometimes goes all the way down to the foot.

Dr. Patrick C.A.J. Vroomen of Maastricht University Hospital in the Netherlands, where two weeks of Bsktball2.gif (2375 bytes)ed rest is a common treatment for sciatica, reported his findings in last week's New England Journal of Medicine.

Doctors randomly assigned 183 patients either to bed rest or "watchful waiting" -- getting up and about whenever possible without provoking pain.

After two weeks, 70 percent of the 92 patients who got out of bed only to bathe or use the toilet felt better. So did 65 percent of those who were up and about. Within statistical error, those are the same results.

After 12 weeks, 87 percent of patients in each group felt better.

“I cannot tell you how much the Goode wrap shirt has helped me. I've been suffering from fibromyalgia for 14 years. They had me on 9 neurontin and several lortabs a day just so I could stand to be alive. I was in pain all the time and I hardly ever slept. When I first heard about the shirt I was pessimistic-but my mom encouraged me to wear it.  I slept with it for a few weeks and didn't seem to notice any change-then one day I realized that my shoulder and back trigger points were almost gone! It had been gradual-but it REALLY WORKS!  There was a week or so that I did't wear it (I guess it was at the bottom of the laundry basket) and I started feeling that stabbing pain underneath my shoulder blade again. Now, I won't go to bed without it!  I'm so grateful to have found it. I'm getting the shorts this week.  I'm excited to see what it will do for my leg aches!  Thanks so much”.    Tricia

"The lady that I loaned the shirt to who had back pain said that she had been having a hard time sleeping.  When she wore the shirt she was able to sleep after about two nights of wearing it.

I tried this and it worked (until my husband stole it from me due to some shoulder pain).  Therefore, insomnia is eased by this product in 100% of the cases tried (n=2)."

"I received my compression shorts and can’t believe how much better my hip and groin feel within a few minutes after wearing them.  I haven’t run in them yet as I’m trying to give my muscles a few days of rest to help speed up recovery.  I will probably try them out tomorrow.  I am a distance runner and have been suffering from piriformis syndrome which results in sciatic pain and has brought back what was diagnosed a of couple of years ago as osteitis pubis.   Thanks for what so far seems to be great product."

Additional Benefits from Power Compression Shorts
Improve Athletic Performance and Reduce Injury

It has been proven throughout the research at Penn State Center for Sports Medicine that garments engineered to meet DuPont Lycra PowerŪ Compression Shorts standards ensure a competitive edge.  Research at Ball State concluded:  Through various mechanisms, these findings may translate into an effect on athletic performance and reduction of injury.  Pilot studies show Power Compression Shorts with external application of semiconductors may have a 5% additional positive effect on motor performance (kicking a foot ball and standing high jump).

LA Times - Some say compression garments can enhance performance by improving the body's awareness of motion

We have had only one person tell us he re-injured himself while wearing our shorts, he was a sprinter who pulled a quadriceps muscle, and he told us the story while ordering another pair.
