"I have used the leg wrap on my horse several times and had excellent success in bring down inflammation from trauma caused by injury. My horse stuck his hind leg over a straight wire fence causing him to cut the inside of his hock joint to the bone leaving a seven inch gash: he then pulled his leg free and as a result he was swollen from the hock to the pastern so severely that I couldn't get both my hands around his leg. The Health Sciences Department or Medical Schools at five major universities have been involved in research. The basic science for the mechanism has not been established. A number of hypotheses have been advanced.
